Remember that day
All sacrifice of our freedom fighter became meaningful.
All righteous actions achieved successful resonance.

April 13, 2007

The mind is fickle and flighty.
It flies after fancies wherever it likes.
It is difficult indeed to restrain.
But it is a great good to control the mind.
A mind self-controlled is a source of great joy.

Words of Wisdom – The whole world is in our own minds. Learn to see things in the proper light – Swami Vivekananda

April 7, 2007

It is our own mental attitude which makes the world what it is for us. Our thought make things beautiful, our thoughts make things ugly. The whole world is in our own minds. Learn to see things in the proper light. First, believe in this world, that there is meaning behind everything. Everything in the world is good, is holy and beautiful. If you see something evil, think that you do not understand it in the right light. Throw the burden on yourselves!.” ~  Swami Vivekananda ~

What Leaders Do – Jack Welch (Winning)

April 6, 2007

*    Leaders relentlessly upgrade their team, using every encounter as an opportunity to evaluate, coach and build self-confidence.

*    Leaders make sure people not only see the vision, they live and breathe it.

*    Leaders get into everyone’s skin, exuding positive energy and optimism.

*    Leaders establish trust with candor, transparency, and credit.

*    Leaders have the courage to make unpopular decisions and gut calls.

 *    Leaders probe and push with a curiosity that borders on skepticism, making sure their questions are answered with action.

 *    Leaders inspire risk taking and learning by setting the example.

*    Leaders celebrate.
