MIT OpenCourseWare (MIT OCW) is an initiative of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to put all of the educational materials from MIT’s undergraduate- and graduate-level courses online, free and openly available to anyone, anywhere, by the year 2007. MIT OpenCourseWare can be considered a large-scale, web-based publication of MIT course materials.

MIT OCW is a large-scale, Web-based electronic publishing initiative funded jointly by the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the Andrew W. Mellon FoundationMIT, and generous support of the Ab Initio software company.

MIT OCW’s goals are to:

  • Provide free, searchable access to MIT’s course materials for educators, students, and self-learners around the world.
  • Extend the reach and impact of MIT OCW and the “opencourseware” concept.

Specially in rural area, due to industrialization and so called development in urban areas, our rural areas are facing acute problems, our country is independent in the food common production of food grain common even though this is also a truth that 50% of our population is still living under below poverty line, for them it is very difficult to have two times meals. The same position is with health, communication, transportation, agriculture, literacy etc. It is a dream for them to adopt development technology they have to face economic imbalance they can’t fulfill their basic need of food, education. Due to this rural community are facing obstacles. In view of all this controversy this society is established in 1989 for the co-ordination of Government Department, NGO’s and it was registered in 1993 it was formed because of great zeal and devotion of Mr. A.K. CHARLES with the help of many dignitaries of the area and was named WAINGANGA one of the major river of the district. Head quarter of the society is situated 10 K.M. away from the district head quarter at village DHAPEWADA and since then it is working for the benefit of poorest in poor.

    Project I.N.H.P. We are working for the (Integrated Nutrition Health Programme) and proud partners of the well-known organization CARE. In M.P. only three districts are covered in this project in the Balaghat District. Our organization got this credit to do this project in the Balaghat.
    (A) TAMSO Training for Adolescent girls Model Society — an innovative training for adolescent girls is proposed to create the change in the society M.P. Council of Science and Technology has agreed to provide help in this project.
    (B) Dream Land District Administration Balaghat; asked to develop 75 Acre of land as a recreation center, we are in the process to start some income generating activities.
    (C) Day Care Center Day Care Center for aged people of the Ukwa has been started to provide medical, financial and moral support to these elderly people of the area looking forward to get some support from Help Age India.
    (D) Micro Credit Organization started its own funding system with the help and support of small tiny entrepreneurs and this is very popular in the area.
    (E) Bamboo Plantation Proposal for bamboo plantation in the Balaghat District has been submitted to CAPART.

    (i) Due to our dedication and sincerity in the year 2001 organization awarded “Jaya Arunachalam Award” from ICPRD Delhi
    (ii) U.S.A. based organization Youth Action Net awarded our organization in the year 2002.
